Money problems could not stop a team of Philippine military turned rowers from making history on the waters in Florida.
With only half a team, the Dragon Warriors came to the U.S. in August carrying the hopes of the country with them.

The two-time defending champions, Dragon Warriors got to Florida, where they became the first country to win three IDBF world championships in a row, dominating their races. The team took home a total of 5 gold medals and two silver medals. “This is for all the Filipinos!” member shouted during their victory.

Back in the Philippines, with most of the team serving the Philippine military, many of them have returned to service. The Dragon Warriors are continuing with their training and have been competing in local races gearing up for the next world championship in 2014, where they will go for four titles in a row.
