Sam Milby performs in San Francisco, shares advice for fellow 2nd gen Fil-Ams
DALY CITY, CA — Fresh off a performance at a Florida Fiesta last weekend, there’s no stopping kapamilya star Sam Milby, as he gears up for another appearance in San Francisco for the 24th annual Pistahan Parade and Festival.
“Nag perform na ako as SF, I’m happy to be back,” he said. “The city’s great, and it’s amazing how after 12 years, 12 years na ako sa business, 12 years na ako nagtotoour, ilang beses na ako nagpunta sa Florida, and ang sarap, parang after 12 years ganun pa rin yung warm welcome sa akin.”
“It’s just amazing, the joy you can bring people when you perform and giving to mga kababayans natin.”
Milby also shares this piece of advice to fellow second-generation Fil-Ams.
“Sana natutuo ako mag Tagalog. So if you have magulang or kids children that are growing up here, teach them Tagalog, they will thank you when you’re older. Baka sabihin na ayaw kong matuto pero pilitin mo sila. It’s something I wish I would’ve learned. Siguro sa career ko and sa acting ko, yun ang sagabal ko…. and even if you dont want to get into showbiz, obviously it’s so nice to be able to converse with parents or mga ibang kababayn natin.”
Over the weekend, kapamilya fans caught Sam Milby and Inigo Pascual at the 24th annual Pistahan Parade and Festival in downtown San Francisco.
