Las Vegas, NV- Miss Universe fourth runner up Venus Raj flew back to Manila yesterday, unfazed by criticism of her performance at the Miss Universe beauty pageant.
Raj gamely granted requests for picture-taking from supporters and fellow passengers at the Las Vegas international airport. Asked if she regretted her answer during the pageant’s interview portion, Raj says she wouldn’t change any of it.
When asked by actor Billy Baldwin what her biggest mistake in life was, Raj now famously answered: “You know what sir in my 22 years of existence, I can say there is nothing major-major, I mean problem that I have done in my life because I am very confident with my family with the love that they are giving to me. So thank you so much that I am here!”
Critics called Raj’s answer ironic, believing it may have cost her the title. Raj shrugged it off.
“I really haven’t made any mistake in my life,” insisted Raj. “I’m a very positive person. Whatever bad thing turns out for the good. That would still be my answer.”
Raj laughed off the fact that her pageant interview is now used as a punchline. “So what? At least now it’s part of their everyday conversation.”
Venus is scheduled to arrive in Manila Thursday morning.

simple lang yung tanong,,,hindi naman major problem ang tanong,,,,,,,talagang ang mga filipina extreme sa lahat ng bagay……kahit sira ulo o tanga masasagot yon..pero sabihin mo na wala kang pagkakamali sa buhay mo ay isang horrible display of kayabangan…not to mention,,,sa kubo lang siya nakatira for 20 years at mahirap pa sa daga….o sige Venus,,mag artista ka na lang,,,at maghanap ka ng mayaman,,huwag kang tanga at gamitin mo yung ganda mo, para makaahon ka sa kahirapan……Cum Laude ka pa naman graduate ng college….over confident ka lang at nagkaron ka ng culture shock ng makarating ka ng US….duh!
Its alright Venus; I bet she answer the question honestly. And that’s how she feels. I remember when an interviewer asked me long time ago’ What is your biggest accomplishment?” Little that I know she is looking for a different answer. But to me, my biggest accomplishment was nurturing my little niece the love of reading. Isn’t that a valuable accomplishment? Can’t beat that. My niece is an honor student for her love of reading and learning.
BUT THAT’S NOT WHAT THE INTERVIEWER WANTS TO HEAR. I was like Venus. Kudos to you, Venus
I believe that Venuz was sincere when she gave her answer. The question was something big “major” mistake and she could not think of anything because nothing major happened to her. If she could have further elaborated her answer…well obviously she got the title! I’m very proud of her representing our country and will continue to support her despite criticism from other people…Mabuhay ka Venuz!
Mabuhay ka Venus!! the miss universe contest should have more candidates like you, who answers sraight to the point without going around the bush..as for those who critics??move on dto the next bru ha ha .. the hongkong hostages…magpiyesta kayo!!!

Ok naman ang sagot ni Venus maliban lang sa Major-Major at parang bitin ang sagot nya kaya di na satisfied si Billy Baldwin.
Ganun pa man OK lang yan Venus…hwag mong intindihin ang mga tsismoso at tsismosa…marami talaga nyan sa California kaakibat na kasi nila yan habang buhay!
