Powerlifting lola breaks more world records
An iron-pumping Pinay lola who broke a national powerlifting record in June has gotten even stronger.
Seventy-five-year-old Susie Rose won eight gold medals and set three world records, while competing at the amateur World Powerlifting Congress World Cup in Idaho Falls, Idaho, this past weekend.
Rose finished first in her age group in bench press, back squat and dead lift — with record-breaking lifts of seventy-seven, one-hundred-ten and two-hundred-twenty pounds, respectively.
The Lola of thirty-eight grandkids credited her family for her achievements and says she plans to compete again in future competitions.
