NEW YORK- Filipino-American fashion designer Josie Natori’s Fall 2012 Ready-To-Wear Collection is being hailed by fashion experts as her most complete and successful line.

Natori, known for her success in the upscale sleepwear and underwear line, has been dabbling in ready-to-wear fashion designs for 3 seasons now.

The result: A more mature and evolved RTW presentation at the Rubin Museum last week, showcasing Natori’s exotic Asian influence with a chic New York sophistication.

Josie Natori said, “I think with this collection, which is inspired by Mongolia, we’ve been able to express the real DNA of Natori. “

The finale — a sexy sophisticated long black gown with a sheer beaded back was the crowd favorite.

Natori’s Mongolian-inspired collection has received amazing reviews, in general, from New York Fashionistas.

Saks Fifth Avenue’s former Senior Vice President of Fashion and Communications,
Jackie Lividini said, “Josie’s collection is like a dream. It’s this amazing fusion of East and West and it lives in a universe within the fashion world that really doesn’t exist.”

“Over 50% of what you saw is made in the Philippines, I’m very proud of everything about the Philippines so you will definitely see that in our collection,” said Natori.

From last season’s Indochine-inspired collection to this season’s Mongolian desert colors and texture, Natori said, nothing is more exciting than her next season’s collection.

She said, “You’re not going to believe where the next one will be. Make a guess? Philippines! So it’s very exciting for Spring 2013, so that will be really special.”

Natori opened a lingerie shop in Rustan’s in Makati, Philippines last November and she projects growth in her business in the Asian region in the coming years.
